Veteran SRH pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar has lauded young England batter Harry Brook after his maiden IPL ton in his very first season. His ton helped SRH beat KKR in Kolkata, something they did not do successfully in the past.
Harry Brook scored 100* off 55 deliveries helping Sunrisers post a mammoth total of 228/4 in their 20 overs. KKR were neck to neck in the chase but finally fell short by 23 runs as they finished 205/7 in their 20 overs.
Brook became the first batter to score a century in this edition of the IPL. The England batter scored 13, 3 and 13 before notching up his maiden IPL ton in just his fourth innings in the IPL. He was severe against pace and played watchfully against the KKR spinners.
After SRH’s win over KKR, Harry Brook has been the talk of the town and his teammates have been speaking about him on SRH ‘s social media channels. One of them was Bhuvi who bowled a spell of 1 for 29 in the big run-chase and played his part in his team’s win.

Harry Brook Scored The First Ton Of IPL 2023
Brook’s innings earned him the Player Of The Match for his team. Earlier during the IPL 2023 auction, Sunrisers Hyderabad roped in the right-hander for 13.25 crores. SRH will take on Mumbai Indians next on 18 April. The Aiden Markram-led- side have won back to back game and are currently placed in the 8th position in the league table, owing to their poor run rate.
