Rahane did not have a good time for Mumbai in domestic cricket off late but was very impactful for CSK last season. He played several impactful cameos with the bat that made the selectors recall him in the XI for the WTC final. He scored 326 runs at a strike rate of 172.49 last year.
Moeen Ali / Daryl Mitchell
One between Moeen Ali and Dayl Mitchell can be the specialist overseas all-rounder. The England all-rounder has proved his worth for the franchise while the CSK gave 14 crores to rope in the services of Mitchell.
Shivam Dube
Dube will slot in at five. He scored 418 runs last year at a strike rate of 158.33 which earned him a recall into the Indian T20I side. He is now seen as a possible replacement for Hardik Pandya ahead of the T20 World Cup 2024.
Ravindra Jadeja
Jadeja has been in superb form with bat and ball off late. In the series against England, he scored over 200 runs with the bat and took 19 wickets with the ball proving his all-round worth. He has now played for over a decade for the CSK franchise. He took 2 wickets last season.
