MS Dhoni is all set to lead Chennai Super Kings for one more time in IPL. The wicketkeeper batter will lead the side in IPL 2024. However, IPL 2024 can be MS Dhoni’s last stint as CSK skipper as he might retire from IPL after the tournament.
MS Dhoni’s ouster will put a big question mark on CSK’s leadership. Dhoni has led the side since the debut edition in 2008. After his farewell, the men-in-yellow will need a powerful skipper to lead the side.
Let captain and coach decide: CSK CEO on MS Dhoni’s successor
CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan has broken his silence on MS Dhoni’s successor for Chennai Super Kings in the future. He said the management has left the decision to the captain and coach to decide the future skipper of CSK.
“See, there have been internal talks. But, Mr. Srinivasan has made it very clear. Let’s not talk about captain and vice-captain appointments. Let’s leave it to the coach and the captain to decide. Let them decide and convey the information to me, and then I will convey it to you all.
He has said that ‘the captain and the coach will decide and give us a directive, till then let’s all keep quiet’,” CSK CEO Viswanathan said during a conversation with S Badrinath on YouTube.
