Travis Head, on Monday (April 15), came back to haunt his former team Royal Challengers Bengaluru by scoring a blazing century against them in the ongoing game at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

The Australia star began his IPL career with RCB in 2016 and could not make much of an impact for them. Before being signed up by SRH for IPL 2024, his last appearance in the IPL had come way back in 2017. The southpaw smashed a whirlwind 18-ball fifty in his first game of the ongoing season and has made his maiden campaign with SRH even more memorable by scoring a stunning century.

Travis Head got going by hitting Reece Topley for a six and a four in the second over and did not look back. In the final over of the powerplay, he hit Yash Dayal for two sixes and a four to complete his fifty in just 20 balls.

His carnage continued after the end of the powerplay as well. In the seventh over, he hit Will Jacks for two sixes and a four before hitting Topley for two more fours in the ninth over. In the 10th over, a short ball from Lockie Ferguson was hit for a six by the Australian before he hit three fours in the 12th over bowled by Vijaykumar Vyshak to complete his maiden IPL ton.

His first IPL century came off just 39 balls and was studded with nine fours and eight sixes. Travis Head was finally out for 102 runs off 40 balls. Ferguson ended his knock in the 13th over.

Here is how Twitter reacted to Travis Head's century:

Talking about the ongoing game, SRH were on 215 for 2 in the 16th over at the time of writing this report. Earlier this season, SRH had scored a record 277 against Mumbai Indians and will be looking to break the record.
