Kuldeep Yadav breaks silence on Rohit Sharma's abusive comments, says "jo bhi wo bolte hain..."

Indian wrist-spinner Kuldeep Yadav opened up about his relationship with skipper Rohit Sharma ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. He said that he shares a great connection with the senior opener and whatever the captain says to players, it’s all love for them. 

India captain Rohit Sharma is one of the most hilarious characters on the field. The way he pushes his players to do their best is something that has been cherished by many. His hilarious comments on the field have left many in splits and he too has shared a laugh about it after the game. 

Rohit Sharma recently received a lot of praise for the way he led the Indian team in the Test series against England. The skipper guided youngsters pretty well and helped India win the five-match Test series by the margin of 4-1 and go to the top of the World Test Championship points table. 

The bonding of Rohit Sharma along with every player was one of the highlights of the series. One of the bonds that was notable throughout the games was between skipper and leg-spinner Kuldeep Yadav. The duo was seen having a lot of chat and planning out of things apart from passing on hilarious comments as well. 

Kuldeep Yadav admitted that whatever Rohit Sharma says on the field is taken lightly by every player and no one minds it. He pointed out how the skipper backed youngsters and instilled confidence in him when the leg-spinner was low. Speaking to Indian Express, he explained: 

“We have a great connection. We move around a lot together, and we share personal stuff. So our bonding has been great. And the stuff he says on the field, no one minds. We have that relationship. Jo bhi woh bolte hain, humare liye pyaar hai unka (it’s his love for us). 

“He guides and backs all the youngsters. He shows trust in others. Even If I didn’t have trust in myself, Rohit would tell me or the other person, l trust you, bindaas help. As a batsman, he understands bowling and so that was helpful.”

Kuldeep Yadav further stated that  Rohit Sharma doesn’t talk about his bowling anymore as he fully trusts him. The spinner revealed that the skipper has been asking him to improve things with the bat and even told him things he should do in a break. He added: 

“Now, he doesn’t tell me anything about bowling. We have reached that stage where he is focusing on my batting now, he talks a lot to me in nets and even told me after the Test series what I can work on in the break now. I feel lucky he is there.” 

Kuldeep Yadav played an instrumental role in India winning the Test series against England. He picked 19 wickets in the 4 games that he played at an average of 20.26. He picked fifer in the Dharamsala and also made crucial contributions with the bat.
