Veteran batter MS Dhoni’s wife, Sakshi, made a cheeky remark after Chennai Super Kings (CSK) recent loss in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 season. Sakshi also expressed delight at MS Dhoni’s impressive batting performances against the Delhi Capitals (DC).

The Chennai Super Kings registered their first loss of the ongoing season of the IPL. The Chennai team suffered a 20-run defeat in their recent match in Visakhapatnam on Sunday, March 31st. However, CSK fans were thrilled with Dhoni’s vintage batting performances.

MS Dhoni was awarded the Electric Striker of the Match against the Delhi Capitals. The veteran wicketkeeper-batter scored 37 runs off 16 balls, including four boundaries and three sixes. Notably, it was his first innings with the bat in the prestigious tournament.

Hi There MS Dhoni – Sakshi

In response to her husband’s impressive batting display, Dhoni‘s wife Sakshi took to her Instagram story, warmly welcoming Rishabh Pant back and exchanging greetings with MS Dhoni.

With a touch of humor, Sakshi jovially remarked about not realizing they had lost the game, adding a laughing emoji for emphasis.

“First of all, welcome back @rishabpant. Hi there @mahi7781! Didn’t realize we lost the game (laughing emoji),” Sakshi wrote on her Instagram story.

Dhoni participated in the first two matches of the season for the Chennai Super Kings, where his batting prowess was not required. However, in the recent match in Vizag, the failure of CSK’s top order necessitated the former CSK skipper’s presence in the middle.

The batter came to the crease with the team in a challenging situation at 120/6 in 16.1 overs. Dhoni hit a boundary off his first ball and survived a dropped catch by Khaleel Ahmed on his second ball. He scored 20 runs off the last over bowled by Anrich Nortje.

Rishabh Pant Smashes Brilliant Half-Century

Rishabh Pant showcased his vintage form for the first time since returning from injury in the IPL 2024 match. He played a scintillating innings with remarkable strokeplay, scoring 51 runs off 32 balls and contributing to the Capitals’ imposing total of 191/5 in 20 overs.

Following a devastating car accident in December 2022, the 26-year-old made his comeback to competitive cricket in the IPL 2024. The southpaw faced challenges in accelerating the scoring rate, posting scores of 18 (13) and 28 (26) in DC’s first two matches.

I’ve To Give My 100 Percent – Rishabh Pant

Rishabh Pant praised the team’s bowlers for their clinical performance and highlighted the improvement from previous matches. Pant expressed his commitment to giving his best on the field, reflecting on his journey back to cricket after a significant hiatus.

“Bowlers have been clinical today. We’ve learned from our mistakes. He’s been working hard from last two weeks (Shaw). We thought it was time to give him a chance and he flourished. It will depend on match to match, but if Mukesh can bowl at the death it’ll be great. As a cricketer, I’ve to give my 100 percent. Took some time initially as I haven’t played much cricket in the last 1.5 years. This is something I’ve depended my life on. Always had the self-belief that whatever happens, it’s important to come back to the ground,” Pant said.
