Former Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh recently responded to Ambati Rayudu’s remarks about Rohit Sharma leaving the Mumbai Indians (MI). Harbhajan Singh expressed uncertainty regarding Rohit Sharma joining the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) team in the IPL.
In preparation for the forthcoming season of the Indian Premier League 2024, Rohit Sharma was relieved of his duties as Mumbai Indians captain. All-rounder Hardik Pandya will take over the leadership role following his return to the five-time IPL champion team.
Mumbai Indians will experience a change in leadership for the first time in 11 years. Under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma, the team secured five titles in the T20 tournament. The Mumbai-based team last clinched the trophy during the 2022 season of the league.

Harbhajan Singh commended Rohit Sharma’s leadership during the recent England Test series. The 43-year-old highlighted Rohit’s support for young players to express themselves against England.
“The biggest positive has been these young batters – Yashasvi, Jurel, and Sarfaraz – and Rohit Sharma’s captaincy, who gave confidence to these youngsters to play with freedom, carry out their natural game and dish out their best performance. This is a huge plus for India, without Virat Kohli, winning from 0-1 down to 4-1. Credit to all the players, which includes the seniors in Ravindra Jadeja and Ashwin, who achieved so many milestones,” Harbhajan said.
Team India secured a 4-1 victory in the recent five-match Test series against England, marking Ben Stokes’ first defeat as captain. Despite an initial setback with a loss in the first Test in Hyderabad, India dominated the series, showcasing their dominance at home.
The Indian team management handed debuts to five young cricketers during the recent home series. Dhruv Jurel, Sarfaraz Khan, Akash Deep, and Devdutt Padikkal made their debuts for the India national cricket team in the longer format of the game.
Yashasvi Jaiswal emerged as the leading run-scorer of the series, amassing 712 runs at an impressive average of 79.91. He notched up two centuries and three fifties. Rohit Sharma contributed 400 runs at an average of 44.44, including two centuries and a fifty.
