Cricketer-turned-commentator Murali Kartik made a bizarre comment on Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) pacer Yash Dayal during the game against Punjab Kings (PBKS). The 6th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 between the teams is taking place at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
Yash Dayal has been magnificent for Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the ongoing IPL 2024. The fast bowler has been blistering with the new ball and has made the ball talk. He has swung the new ball pretty well and has troubled the opposition a lot in the two games he has played.
Yash Dayal in the ongoing game against troubled Punjab Kings openers. He made seasoned batters in Shikhar Dhawan and Jonny Bairstow look clueless with his swing bowling. The left-arm pacer oozed his class as he moved the ball both ways at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
In the three overs that he bowled, Yash Dayal gave away only 10 runs. In a ground like M Chinnaswamy, where runs flow like a Ferrari car, the pacer restricted the run flow like cops. He ensured the Punjab Kings didn’t get off to a flier.
As Yash Dayal produced a sensational spell of swing balling early on, commentator Murali Karthik made a shocking comment about the fast bowler. He said that a fast bowler is a treasure for RCB while he was trash for someone else. He stated: “Somebody’s trash is somebody else’s treasure”.
For unversed Murali Kartik’s comments referred to Yash Dayal’s stint with Gujarat Titans. The fast bowler was part of the Shubman Gill-led side last year and he had a torrid season with the ball last year. He came under a lot of pressure during the game against Kolkata Knight Riders.
Yash Dayal got released by Gujarat Titans; RCB picked him in auction for INR 5 crore
Yash Dayal was hit for five consecutive sixes by Rinku Singh. He had to defend 30 runs in the last over against Kolkata Knight Riders. But he couldn’t as was hit for sixes all over the park. He looked down and dusted after that as he was trolled a lot on social media as well.
After that things didn’t go his way. He didn’t get the desired backing from the Gujarat Titans as he didn’t get an opportunity after that and also fell ill as well after that carnage.
To worsen things for him, Yash Dayal then wasn’t retained by the franchise. But Royal Challengers Bengaluru showed confidence in him. The left-arm pacer was acquired by the Faf du Plessis-led side in the auction at the price of INR 5 crore.
Yash Dayal however, has repaid the faith of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru franchise so far in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. In the two games that he has played, the fast bowler has been performing extremely well. He would be keen to put his hand up for the team, have a breakout season this year, and give a thrashing reply to his old franchise Gujarat Titans.
