Sunil Narine Shares Fake Instagram Post Mocking RCB

Sunil Narine attracted attention for an Instagram post before KKR's match against DC. He shared content from an unverified page with quotes falsely attributed to him, supposedly criticizing RCB's bowling. The alleged remarks were made following KKR's victory over RCB.

"I like scoring runs against RCB because they have a weak bowling department," Narine allegedly said.

The post, written in Hindi, suggests that Narine may not have a strong grasp of the language, leading to confusion about its content. It's likely that he didn't comprehend the meaning of the post due to his limited understanding of Hindi.

Narine showcased his batting prowess against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru. He aggressively tackled the RCB bowlers during the powerplay, scoring 47 runs off 22 deliveries and contributing to KKR's total of 85 runs. Narine's innings included two fours and five sixes before Mayank Dagar dismissed him in the seventh over.

Cricket Is All About Batting - Sunil Narine

Narine, renowned for his bowling skills, expressed satisfaction at making a meaningful contribution with the bat after being awarded the Player of the Match title. He emphasized the importance of batting in cricket and shared his enjoyment of both batting and bowling.

"Cricket is all about batting, so to contribute with the bat is pleasing but I also enjoy my bowling," the experienced campaigner was quoted as saying by The Times of India.

"We had sufficient batters, so opening was not needed then. At the end of the day, it is about what the team requires. Batting with (Phil) Salt is good, he takes the pressure off me so it's good to bat with him," he added.

Narine also received the Player of the Match award for his stellar performance in KKR's recent IPL 2024 encounter against Royal Challengers Bengaluru. His next appearance is during the upcoming match against the Chennai Super Kings at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on Monday, April 8.
