Suryakumar Yadav is completely fit to play in IPL 2024 and could be part of Mumbai Indians team in their upcoming clash against Delhi Capitals (DC), according to reports. Suraykumar Yadav is a crucial batter for Mumbai Indians but due to an injury, he was not part of the team in the first three games.

In Suryakumar Yadav's absence, Mumbai Indians has struggled to come up with a good start in IPL 2024. MI lost to Gujarat Titans in their opening match. Later, Sunrisers Hyderabad dismantled them by 31 runs in the second match. In their last match, MI lost to Rajasthan Royals by 6 wickets.

Notably, the Hardik Pandya-led side completely lost the plot in two games. SRH massacred their bowling by hitting IPL's highest-ever total of 277. Rajasthan Royals dismantled MI batting by restricting them to 125-9 in the previous game. Later, they won easily in the 16th over.

Suryakumar Yadav to play vs Delhi Capitals- Reports

Amid Mumbai Indians' struggles in IPL 2024, there are reports that Suryakumar Yadav might make an entry in the next match against Delhi Capitals. According to a report by Indian Express, Yadav had been declared fit by National Cricket Academy (NCA). A BCCI official told Indian Express that Surya is now 100% fit to play in IPL.

“He is fit now. The NCA made him play a few practice games, and he looked good. He can join the Mumbai Indians team. We wanted to be sure that when Surya goes back to MI, he is 100 percent fit and ready to play games", the official said.

The official also added the MI batter was not feeling completely fit during his first fitness test earlier.

"He wasn't feeling 100% during his first fitness test before the IPL, so we waited to see if there was any pain while he was batting", the official further added.

Interestingly, Suryakumar Yadav shared a photo on Instagram that proves the report of his fitness might be true. The 32-year-old player posted a photo of himself in IG story. He was seen undergoing training in the photo. Have a look at the photo below.

Surya congratulates Mayank Yadav

On Wednesday, Suryakumar Yadav congratulated LSG newcomer Mayank Yadav for his marvellous debut in IPL 2024. The right-arm pacer won the Player of the Match award in his first two games for Lucknow Super Giants.

Yadav grabbed three-wicket hauls in both games to help his team win the match.

Yadav posted a photo of Mayank Yadav on his IG story and wrote, “I am sure crazy amount of hard work has gone in to where you are now. Enjoy the journey”.


Meanwhile, Mumbai Indians are yet to taste their first victory in IPL 2024. With 3 defeats in 3 games, they have moved to the last spot in the points table. They face Delhi Capitals in their game. The match takes place on Sunday, April 7 at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
