No batsman other than Virat Kohli has touched the 200-run mark in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League so far. While the batting superstar had not played a competitive game for more than two months, it did not affect his form much.

The former India skipper has hit the ground running in IPL 2024 and is currently the leading run-scorer in IPL 2024. In his first game of IPL 2024, he scored 21 runs off 20 balls as Royal Challengers Bengaluru suffered a loss against Chennai Super Kings. In the very next game, the right-handed batsman scored 77 runs to help RCB beat Punjab Kings by four wickets and get off the mark in the tournament.

In the third game, he scored an unbeaten 82 but RCB ended up on the losing side against Kolkata Knight Riders. It was followed by a 22-run knock in the defeat against Lucknow Super Giants. After the failure to convert his start into a big score against LSG, Virat Kohli did not take long to bounce back.

Virat Kohli creates history:

In the ongoing game between RCB and Rajasthan Royals, he has scored another fifty. In the eleventh over of RCB's innings, he hit Riyan Parag for a six to complete his fifty in 39 balls. During the knock, Virat Kohli also created history by becoming the very first player to score 7500 runs in the history of the IPL.

While no other batter has even managed to touch the 7000-run mark in IPL, the former RCB skipper has scored more than 7500 runs. At present, he is the leading run-scorer in the IPL. Punjab Kings captain Shikhar Dhawan is second with 6755 runs followed by David Warner, Rohit Sharma, and Suresh Raina.
