Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) batter Abhishek Sharma is going through the purple patch in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. The left-hander oozed his class with the bat yet again in the ongoing 18th match of the league against Chennai Super Kings (CSK).

Abhishek Sharma, who opened the innings for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the ongoing game against Chennai Super Kings, made sure that he set the stage on fire with the bat. He made the Hyderabad crowd go berserk with his brutal power-hitting and took his team off the blazing start.

Abhishek Sharma made Mukesh Choudhary's comeback for Chennai Super Kings worse as he made a mockery of the seamer with his elegant power-hitting. This was the fast bowler's first game for Chennai in the last seasons and he didn't start the game on a good note, thanks to the carnage by the SRH batter.

Abhishek Sharma started the over with a blistering boundary down the ground. He defended the second ball but after that, he didn't look back. The left-hander slammed a big six on the third ball. It was a short ball down the leg to which the batter swiveled across and hooked it over fine leg.

On the 4th ball, Mukesh Choudhary made a strong comeback but to his misfortune, it was a no-ball. Abhishek Sharma cashed on the free hit as he swung the full ball in the slot and whipped it over deep mid-wicket for a big maximum at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.

This disrupted the rhythm of Mukesh Choudhary as he delivered full-toss on off to which Abhishek Sharma hit it over the long-off. The SRH batter then made sure that he ended the over on high and took his team off the much-needed brisk start on the slow pitch.

Abhishek Sharma slammed four on the last ball as he played a lofted stroke over long-off. It was an overpitched ball around off, to which the batter managed to find the fence. His brutal display saw Sunrisers Hyderabad stealing 27 runs off the 2nd over of the game.

Abhishek Sharma, however, didn't stop there as he made sure that he kept smashing Chennai Super Kings bowlers all over the park. He took the attack to Deepak Chahar as well and slammed him for a big six on the second ball of the next over after his carnage on Mukesh Choudhary.

Abhishek Sharma followed the six with a four and made many stand and applaud him for his innings. But Deepak Chahar had the last laugh in the battle as after getting hit for six and four, he came back strongly and removed the batter to draw the first blood for his team while defending the target.

Deepak Chahar bowled a fuller-length ball wide outside off. The batter reached for it and sliced it uppishly towards deep backward point. Ravindra Jadeja, who was stationed there, moved to his right and judged it to perfection to catch the ball low. The batter scored 37 runs off just 12 balls and had a strike rate of 308. He also hit three boundaries and four sixes in his innings.
