Mohit Sharma had a hilarious reaction to his Gujarat Titans’ teammate Sai Sudharsan pointing out the age difference between them. The incident took place after both of them starred in GT’s impressive win over Sunrisers Hyderabad on Sunday (March 30).
Batting first, SRH, who had scored 204 and 277 in their first two games of the season, managed to post 162/8 against GT. One of the main reasons behind it was Mohit Sharma’s performance with the ball. The right-arm pacer continued his impressive performance for the Gujarat-based outfit and picked up three crucial wickets while conceding only 25 runs.
He dismissed the dangerous Abhishek Sharma before sending back Shahbaz Ahmed and Washington Sundar as well. In reply, GT chased down the total with five balls remaining and seven wickets in hand to get back to winning ways.
For the third game in a row, Sai Sudharsan top-scored for GT. After scoring 45 and 37 runs in the first two games, the left-handed batsman scored 45 against SRH. Incidentally, he was the top-scorer for GT in the final of last year’s IPL season as well, scoring 96 although his team ended up losing the game.
Mohit Sharma and Sai Sudharsan engage in a hilarious incident:
After the thumping win over SRH, the architects of the victory – Mohit Sharma and Sai Sudharsan – engaged in a candid chat with each other. The video was posted by IPL on its official website. At the start of the interview, Sai Sudharsan reminded the viewers of the age difference between him and Mohit Sharma.
As soon as the Tamil Nadu youngster stated that there was a 15-year age difference, Mohit Sharma started laughing and hilariously tried to kick his younger teammate.
During the interview, Mohit Sharma also asked Sudharsan about his much-talked strike rate. In reply, the southpaw said:
“Yes, definitely, I also feel sometimes (that I am troubling the team by playing slow). But I think it’s a matter of one or two boundaries, one or two balls here and there. So I don’t just put pressure on myself that I am playing the innings slow because we can get one or two
boundaries here and there and just cover it up.”
GT have started their season with two wins and a loss in the first three games.
