Punjab Kings (PBKS) bowler Harpreet Brar brought his team back into the game in the ongoing game against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). The 6th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 is underway at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
Virat Kohli is keeping Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the chase in the ongoing game against Punjab Kings. But the premier batter isn’t getting the desired support from the other end as the Shikhar Dhawan-led side is making sure that they keep wickets at regular intervals.
Rajat Patidar seemed to have got his feet going in the game and it seemed that he would give full support to Virat Kohli. The young batter played some crisp shots in his innings and was keeping his team in the hunt. But he couldn’t make a bigger impact and was back in the hut early.
The credit for that goes to Punjab Kings spinner Harpreet Brar. The left-arm spinner produced a peach of a delivery to which Rajat Patidar had no clue and had to take the long walk back to the pavilion at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
Harpreet Brar bowled a flat and straight delivery that slid in off a good length and went past the inside edge. Rajat Patidar tried to whack it through midwicket but he missed the ball completely and it crashed into the middle stump.
Rajat Patidar, who has been going through the lean patch, scored just 18 runs off 18 balls. He had a strike rate of 100 and slammed just 1 four and 1 six in his innings. His wicket left Royal Challengers Bengaluru tottering at 86/3 in front of their home ground.
If this was not enough, Harpreet Brar then in the next over made sure that he jolted Royal Challengers Bengaluru further. The Punjab Kings spinner removed the big show Glenn Maxwell as the home team saw their fourth wicket falling inside the 13 overs.
Harpreet Brar bowled a flat-length delivery on the off stump. Glenn Maxwell made room to slap it through the off-side. However, he didn’t get the proper connection and he ended up getting a thick under-edge and got chopped on.

This was the fourth time, Harpreet Brar removed Glenn Maxwell in the Indian Premier League (IPL). The left-arm spinner has removed the batter four times in just 20 balls. Glenn Maxwell, who bagged a golden duck in the last match scored just 3 runs off 5 balls.
Harpreet Brar returns with figures of 2/13 at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru
Harpreet Brar bowled a sensational spell for Punjab Kings in the ongoing game against Royal Challengers Bengaluru. The left-arm spinner returned with the figures of 2/13 in his quota of 4 overs. He had an economy of just 3.2 and his spell surely put his team in the driver’s seat. After his spell got over, Harshal Patel removed Virat Kohli and put RCB under immense pressure. The Shikhar Dhawan-led side now would be hoping to close on the things quick and register their second consecutive game on trot.
