Mumbai Indians (MI) skipper Hardik Pandya is not having the greatest of times in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. The all-rounder has been receiving end of backlash from the fans for taking over the captaincy of the franchise from Rohit Sharma.

To worsen the case for him, Hardik Pandya has failed to perform as the captain of the team as well. He has made quite a few tactical errors as the leader and that has been one of the main reasons why Mumbai Indians have lost three out of their three games in the league.

Mumbai Indians are the only team in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 that haven’t registered a single win in the tournament so far. They are reeling last on the points table and skipper Hardik Pandya seems to be under a lot of pressure with the way things have panned out so far.

Hardik Pandya has also failed as a batter and bowler in the ongoing IPL 2024. With the bat, his best came in the Mumbai Indians’ last game against Rajasthan Royals when his team was struggling to get going and was reeling at 20/4 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

The all-rounder played a counter-attacking innings and bailed his team out of trouble but he couldn’t continue as he perished for Yuzvendra Chahal. Hardik Pandya scored 34 runs, which is his highest score in the IPL 2024 so far. With the ball, he has managed just 1 wicket.

It’s fair to say that Hardik Pandya is having his toughest time in the league as he is not at all getting love from the fans. The all-rounder has been receiving boos from the fans and has been treated with the Rohit Rohit chants whenever he comes to bat and bowl in the game.

After the game against Rajasthan Royals, Hardik Pandya looked absolutely dejected and was down. As the players of the Mumbai Indians walked out of the park, the all-rounder was seen sitting alone in the dugout and was shattered.

As Hardik Pandya was seen dejected after the loss against Rajasthan Royals, the all-rounder took to his Twitter account and expressed his feelings. He said that his side Mumbai Indians don’t give up and they will keep fighting. He said:

If there’s one thing you should know about this team, we never give up. We’ll keep fighting, we’ll keep going.”

Mumbai Indians will be next seen in action when they will take on Delhi Capitals in their next game. The game between the two teams will take place on Sunday (7th April) at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. They would be keen to get a win under their belt and get off the mark in the IPL 2024.

Skipper Hardik Pandya in particular will be keen to make an impact and silence his critics of his style. The all-rounder would want to lead from the front and reply to all his critics in style.
