In a video posted on IPL’s social media platform, Michael Hussey confidently predicted that MS Dhoni would conclude the match with a last-ball six amidst an enthusiastic crowd.

“My prediction for the last over of the match is that MS Dhoni will be batting. The crowd will be roaring and MSD will hit a six to finish the match,” Hussey said.

Dhoni came to the crease at No. 8 when the Chennai team needed 72 runs off 23 deliveries. The right-handed batsman smashed boundaries off his first ball, showcasing his vintage touch. He scored 20 runs off the last over of the match against Anrich Nortje.

In the final over, Dhoni scored two boundaries and two sixes. He concluded the match with a six, scoring a remarkable 20 runs in Nortje’s over. Dhoni’s explosive batting narrowed the defeat margin to 20 runs, with CSK concluding their innings at a total of 171/6.
