Jasprit Bumrah, on Sunday (April 7), once again showed why he is widely regarded as one of the best bowlers in the world as he castled a well-set Prithvi Shaw in the ongoing game between Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
In a game where most of the bowlers have been taken to the cleaners, Jasprit Bumrah had conceded only 8 runs in his first two overs. He bowled his first over in the powerplay and conceded just four runs. Hardik Pandya reintroduced him into the attack when Prithvi Shaw and Abishek Porel were going great guns.
The partnership between them was worth 85 runs when Jasprit Bumrah came to bowl the 12th over of the innings. He conceded three singles on his first four deliveries before castling Prithvi Shaw with a toe-crushing yorker.
The yorker was so vicious that the well-set DC opener had to take his back leg out of the way in order to avoid any injury. It was an angled delivery that went on to crash into the stumps and uprooted the leg stump. Shaw departed after scoring 66 runs from 40 balls with the help of eight fours and three sixes.
