Jasprit Bumrah's Parents:

Jasprit Bumrah was born to Jasbir Singh and Daljit Kaur on December 6, 1993, in Sanand, Gujarat. Bumrah was only 5 years old when his father passed away.

Jasprit Bumrah’s Mother:

Jasprit Bumrah’s mother, Daljit Kaur Bumrah worked as the principal of Ahmedabad’s Nirman High School. Bumrah completed his schooling at the same school.

His mother played a huge role in shaping his career. Although Bumrah's family was more inclined towards academics, his mother did not force her choice on him and let him decide.

"My mother was never firm in saying to me, ‘This is what you have to do’, but she did want me to have a career that would give me security. But that’s about it. She did not force anything on me, never told me I had to become a doctor or engineer," Bumrah had told GQ India.

"In fact, it would have been difficult for her to see me as a doctor or engineer because I was always playing cricket. She must have looked at me and wondered ‘What will he do?’ Yet one thing my mother was adamant about since she was a school principal, was that I learn the English language."

Jasprit Bumrah’s Father:

Bumrah's father, Jasbir Singh was an industrialist. The Bumrah family owned as many as three factories. Jasbir tragically passed away when his son was only 5 years old.

Jasprit Bumrah's Sister:

Bumrah has one sibling, elder sister, Juhika Bumrah. Just like her mother, Jasprit Bumrah sister, Juhika, is a teacher as well. Bumrah shares a very close bond with his sister.

The fast bowler always makes sure to celebrate Raksha Bandhan with his sister. Every year, he also makes sure to wish her on her birthday on July 2. Juhika also never misses an opportunity to post about her brother's achievements. In 2016, Juhika got hitched to Varun Celly.

Jasprit Bumrah's Wife:

In 2021, Jasprit Bumrah tied the knots with Sanjana Ganesan. They had managed to keep their relationship a secret before surprising the cricketing world with their wedding update. Jasprit Bumrah's wife, Sanjana Ganesan, is a sports presenter and has been associated with cricket for years now.

In the past, she also worked with the IPL franchise Kolkata Knight Riders. Sanjana is a former Miss India finalist and was also a participant in MTV's Splitsvilla in 2014. Bumrah and Sanjana first met each other in the 2013 IPL, the season in which the pacer made his debut in the tournament.

However, they did not become friends straightaway as they initially misjudged each other as arrogant. They again crossed paths during the 2019 World Cup and soon became friends. The friendship turned into love before they tied the knot a couple of years later.

"I had obviously seen her a lot of times but we had the same problem with each other. She thought I was really arrogant, I thought she was really arrogant so we never really spoke.

"I spoke to her for the first time during the 2019 World Cup when she was here covering the event. We became friends and started talking a lot. It’s been good, we have been married for five months now, so yeah very happy," Bumrah had told Dinesh Karthik in an interview.

Bumrah and Sanjana are parents to son Angad. The couple welcomed their first child on 4 September 2023.
