The Meghalaya cricket team represents the state of Meghalaya in Indian domestic cricket. The team is governed by the Meghalaya Cricket Association and plays its home games at the Meghalaya Cricket Association Cricket Ground in Shillong.
The team's journey in Ranji Trophy began in the year 2018 after it was named as one of the nine teams by the BCCI to compete in domestic circuit.
The Meghalaya cricket team's journey in the domestic cricket began with the Vijay Hazare Trophy in September. In their opening game, Meghalaya defeated Mizoram by eight teams. In their first Vijay Hazare Trophy campaign, the Meghalaya cricket team finished at the fifth spot in the Plate Group, with four wins and four defeats from their eight matches.
Meghalaya played their first Ranji Trophy game against Arunachal Pradesh in November 2018 and won that game by seven wickets. They finished the 2018-19 Ranji Trophy season at the fourth spot in the points table after winning four of the eight games.
