MS Dhoni's ODI Captaincy Record:
MS Dhoni was appointed the ODI captain of India in 2007, just days after he led Team India to the historic triumph at the inaugural T20 World Cup. Dhoni enjoyed unprecedented success as a captain in ODIs. In 2008, he led India to their first-ever series win in Australia. Three years later, he ended India's 28-year wait for the World Cup trophy.
In doing so, Dhoni also became the first ever captain to lead a team to glory in the World Cup on home soil. Two years later, Dhoni guided India to glory in the Champions Trophy in England. The victory made him the first and so far only captain to win all the major ICC tournaments in the white-ball format - T20 World Cup, ODI World Cup and the Champions Trophy.
