Nepal Premier League Cricket Teams

The first edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) will be taking place in 2024. Founded by the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN), the competition will replace the Nepal T20 League.

The Nepal T20 League was played for just one edition in 2022-23 season before being disbanded after it was surrounded by match-fixing and corruption allegations. CAN will be hoping that the Nepal Premier League turns out to be a successful tournament.

The first edition of the Nepal Premier League will be played from November 30 to December 21. The tournament will be played in Kirtipur. All the games will be played at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground.

Nepal Premier League teams:

A total of eight teams will be participating in the Nepal Premier League 2024 edition. The eight teams represent the eight provinces or the cities of the country. The eight teams are:

• Biratnagar Kings
• Chitwan Rhinos
• Janakpur Bolts
• Karnali Yaks
• Kathmandu Gurkhas
• Lumbini Lions
• Pokhara Avengers
• Sudurpaschim Royals

Sandeep Lamichhane will be leading Biratnagar Kings while Kushal Malla will be the captain of Chitwan Rhinos. Anil Shah is the captain of Janakpur Bolts while Sompal Kami and Karan KC will be leading Karnali Yaks and Kathmandu Gurkhas respectively.

Lumbini Lions will be led by Rohit Paudel while Pokhara Avengers and Sudurpaschim Royals will be lead by Kushal Bhurtel and Dipendra Singh Airee respectively.
