New Zealand Tour Of India 2021: Ajinkya Rahane, Cheteshwar Pujara Amongst India's Test Specialists To Undergo Preparatory Camp In Mumbai

After a shocking exit from the T20 World Cup recently, India will be playing against New Zealand in three T20Is and a couple of Test matches at home.
The T20I series will begin on November 17 with the first match scheduled to play in Jaipur followed by the second game two days later in Ranchi and the final fixture will be held in Kolkata.
The first Test match will commence on November 25 at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur with the final Test to be played in Mumbai starting on December 3.
Ajinkya Rahane to lead India in the first Test
To manage the workload of some prominent players, the BCCI has rested the likes of Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami and Rishabh Pant in the Test series.
India’s regular skipper Virat Kohli and opener Rohit Sharma won’t be part of the first Test against New Zealand.
Ajinkya Rahane, who led India in a remarkable series win in Australia, will captain the Indian side in the first Test.

Players who are not the part of the limited overs side to prepare for Test series: BCCI
Players who are not part of the T20I series will be undergoing a preparation camp in Mumbai for the two-match Test series.
“There hasn’t been much red ball cricket for a while and the idea was to ensure that the players who are not the part of the limited overs side get some quality preparation before heading to Kanpur for the Test match,” a BCCI official was quoted as saying by Sportstar.

Ajinkya Rahane, Cheteshwar Pujara, Wriddhiman Saha, Mayank Agarwal, Shubman Gill, Umesh Yadav, Prasidh Krishna and Jayant Yadav will be part of the camp for Test specialists, that starts on Monday (November 15).
Mumbai Cricket officials said that the camp for the Test specialist players will be conducted at the Bandra-Kurla Complex facility.
“We have been asked by the BCCI to arrange the camp, and we have prepared the BKC facility for the training sessions,” a source in the MCA was quoted as saying by Sportstar.
New Zealand cricket team will be preparing for their Test series in Kolkata after the completion of the T20I series.
