To manage the workload of some prominent players, the BCCI has rested the likes of Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami and Rishabh Pant in the Test series.

India’s regular skipper Virat Kohli and  opener Rohit Sharma won’t be part of the first Test against New Zealand.

Players who are not the part of the limited overs side to prepare for Test series: BCCI

Players who are not part of the T20I series will be undergoing a preparation camp in Mumbai for the two-match Test series.

There hasn’t been much red ball cricket for a while and the idea was to ensure that the players who are not the part of the limited overs side get some quality preparation before heading to Kanpur for the Test match,” a BCCI official was quoted as saying by Sportstar.
