Kane Williamson has lifted the New Zealand team under his captainship. He also helped them to win their first-ever ICC title by defeating India in the ICC World Test Championship final in 2021.
Kane Williamson is a right-handed batsman who plays in the top order. He is recognized as the most successful skipper for New Zealand. He led the side to the finals of the ICC ODI World Cup 2019 and ICC T20 World Cup 2021. However, the team finished as runners-up in both tournaments.

Kane Williamson was born on August 8, 1990, in Tauranga, New Zealand to Beet and Sandra Williamson. He grew up with his twin brother Logan and three sisters. He married Sarag Raheem and the couple has one son and two daughters. In his childhood, he was attracted to hobbies like music, cooking, and playing guitar.
Early and Domestic Career
Kane Williamson started his cricket coaching in childhood with mentors Pacey Depina and Josh Syms. He got his first break in the domestic circuit with Northern Districts in 2007. He represents the same side to date. He has also played for England counties Gloucestershire and Yorkshire.
International Career
Kane Williamson made his international debut in August 2010 with an ODI against India. He is still part of the New Zealand team and has played over a century of Tests and ODIs. He is also near to completing 100 T20I games.
The Kiwi stalwart has played 100 Tests, 165 ODIs, and 93 T20Is so far. He accounts for 8700+ runs in the longest format, 6800+ runs in the ODIs, and 2500+ runs in T20Is. He has shattered 32 Test tons; out of which; there are 6 double tons. He has also smacked 13 tons in ODIs as of 2024.
Franchise Career
Kane Williamson has been quite an active member of the Indian Premier League for the last few years. He was part of Sunrisers Hyderabad since the 2015 season and represented the side till 2022. Later, he was picked by the Gujarat Titans in the 2023 season.
Interestingly, he is only active in the IPL and no other franchise league. The right-handed batsman has mustered 2128 runs in 79 IPL games at an average of 35+ and strike rate of 125+. He accounts for 18 half-centuries.
