Late Andrew Symonds is one of the legends of Australian cricket who was part of the Australian team that dominated from 2000 to 2007. Andrew Symonds was an all-rounder and one of the major weapons of the Ricky Ponting-led Australian side.
Andrew Symonds was a right-handed batsman and right-arm spinner. He used to bowl off-spin and hence, was one of the crucial members of the Australian team during his active career from 1998 to 2009. He was part of the Australian team that won the ODI World Cups in 2003 and 2007.
Family and Personal Life
Andrew Symonds was born on June 9, 1975, in Birmingham, England to Ken and Barbara Smith, who were of African-Caribbean descent. He moved to Australia in his childhood with his three sisters.
He loved traveling and fishing since his childhood. He had two marriages- one with Brooke Marshall whom he divorced in 2005 and the other with Laura Symonds in 2012. Billy and Chloe are two kids of late Symonds.
Early and Domestic Career
Andrew Symonds broke into the domestic side of Queensland in 1993 and played for them till 2010. He also played domestic cricket for Surrey Club in England. Almost five years after his domestic debut, Symonds made it into the national team in 1998.

Andrew Symonds made his international debut for Australia in November 1998 and went on to play for the team till May 2009. During his 11-year-long career, the right-handed batsman played a total of 26 Tests, 198 ODIs, and 14 T20Is.
With the bat, he smacked 1462 runs in Tests, 5088 runs in ODIs, and 337 runs in T20Is. He held an average of 40+ in Tests, 39+ in ODIs, and 48+ in T20Is. Hence, he was impressive in all three formats. With the ball, he captured 24 wickets in Tests, 133 in ODIs, and 8 in T20Is. Hence, he was a very brilliant all-rounder for the side.
