"Lion is back" - Twitter erupts as 'king' Babar Azam slams 11th T20 century in PSL 2024

Fans on Twitter reacted after Peshawar Zalmi skipper Babar Azam slammed a magnificent century in the ongoing game against Islamabad United. The 13th match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) is taking place at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. 

Babar Azam set the stage on fire in the ongoing game against Islamabad United and put his team in the driver’s seat. After being asked to bat first, the skipper opened the innings and asserted his authority on the game right from the start. 

The opening batter played some glorious shots in his innings and made many stand and applaud him. Babar Azam first stitched 77 runs opening partnership with Saim Ayub (38). But after that, his team came under immense pressure as they lost wickets at regular intervals. 

But Babar Azam held the fort for his team and made sure that he kept his team in the hunt. Against all the odds, he stood tall for his team and made sure that he carried his bat through and took his team to a total past 200 runs. 

Babar Azam slammed a sensational ton but what was impressive was with the way he paced his innings. The batter brought half-century slowly but his second fifty just took 20 balls as he changed gears effortlessly. The batter was at his brutal best and put the opposition under pressure. 

Babar Azam smashed bowlers all over the park and ended with the innings of unbeaten 111 runs off 63 balls. He batted with a strike rate of over 176 and his innings were laced with 14 fours and 2 sixes in his knock. His innings powered Peshawar Zalmi to a total of 201 runs on the board. The batter scored more than 50% of the team’s runs, which speaks a lot about his innings.
