Royal Challengers Bengaluru - Season-wise performance

Royal Challengers Bengaluru have played three IPL finals so far but are yet to win the title-decider. In the first IPL season, they finished at the seventh spot before qualifying for the final in 2009 under Anil Kumble's captaincy.

In 2010, they progressed ahead of the league stage again but could not make it to the final. In 2011, Royal Challengers Bengaluru qualified for the final once again but ended up on the losing side. From 2012 to 2014, they failed to progress ahead of the league stage before making it to the playoffs in 2015. In 2016, Royal Challengers Bengaluru stormed into the final as their captain Virat Kohli scored a staggering 973 runs.

However, he could not lead them to the title as they lost the final against Sunrisers Hyderabad. After that, RCB failed to make the cut for the playoffs for three seasons in a row before qualifying for the playoffs from 2020 to 2022. In 2023, they once again failed to make the cut for the playoffs.
