IND vs SA: India Squad For South Africa ODIs Announced. BCCI, on Sonday, announced the India squad for the coming ODI series against South Africa.. During the South Africa tour of India 2022, India will play a three-match ODI and a three-match T20I series against South Africa.

The T20I series will be played first followed by the ODI series. The three ODI games will take place on October 6, October 9, and October 11. After the ODI series against South Africa, India will participate in T20 World Cup 2022.

India Squad for South Africa ODIs Announced

BCCI revealed the India squad for the ODI series against South Africa on Sunday. Shikhar Dhawan will be leading the side in the ODI series against South Africa. Shreyas Iyer has been appointed as the vice-captain for the series.

Earlier, South Africa had announced the squad for the ODI series against India. Temba Bavuma will lead South Africa in the ODI series against India. Some key batsmen in the squad are Reeza Hendricks, Janneman Malan, Aiden Markram, David Miller, and Quinton de Kock.

For the pacers, the trio of Lungi Ngidi, Anrich Nortje, and Kagiso Rabada will lead the attack for South Africa. Keshav Maharaj and Tabraiz Shamsi are the spinners in the squad. All-rounders Wayne Parnell, Andile Phehlukwayo, and Dwaine Pretorius are also part of the squad.

India and South Africa last played an ODI series in January this year. In the away series, India lost all three ODI games and faced a humiliating whitewash in the series. Earlier in June this year, India and South Africa played a five-match T20I series, which ended in a 2-2 tie.

In head-to-head records in ODIs, India and South Africa have played 87 ODI matches. India has won 35 games while South Africa has won 49 games. There were 3 matches that ended with no result.
