South Africa Cricket Team took 10 invaluable points by defeating India in the 1st ODI. It may look like South Africa won the match by mere 9 runs but they were quite in control of the match. The team showed fighting spirit and made sure that they are not giving any chance whatsoever to India.

India on the other hand would be disappointed not because of the loss but because their batters consumed a lot of balls at the start of the innings. Chasing more than 8 runs per over is a bit tough in ODI Cricket. The Men in Blue have a habit of making strong comebacks. The team needs to quickly regroup and should not let South Africa bag the ODI series.

“We are not too worried about other things we can’t control at this moment. Every time we get on to the field wearing the South African jersey we want to win the game. We are just taking step by step, game by game at this moment,” he added.

Tough Road Ahead for South Africa

Even after winning the 1st ODI South Africa are still behind in the points table and is in 11th position out of 13. South Africa will have to work out some magic and make sure that they are winning the series which will give them a huge amount of confidence.
