India vs South Africa T20I Series promises to be a thriller. India holds an upper edge as they have the momentum after defeating Australia by 2-1 in the T20I Series. Temba Bavuma has started playing mind games with Men in Blue. Men in Blue would be aware that they can’t get complacent as a couple of bad games can ruin all the hard work of the team.

Indian Cricket Team would like to see winning the matches comprehensively rather than last over finishes. Final over finishes are a lottery where one ball can change the facets of the match. South Africa on the other hand would like to upset India and disturb their team’s dynamics by producing out-of-the-box performances.

Temba Bavuma on Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli

South African skipper Temba Bavuma was seen praising Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. “Those are names with the big pedigree behind them. As you would have seen in the last while their confidence has boosted the performances of the team,” Bavuma said.

“We expect them to obviously come on and lead from the front, which is good practice for the team. It will be good for us to come up against their best. We expect those guys to bring a lot of confidence and X-factor into their team,” he added.

This will be our last series before the World Cup and we’ll be looking to plug any gaps we feel that are there. We have guys who have been playing a lot of cricket and I guess we will be managing their intensity,” said the right-handed batter.

“We also have guys who need some cricket under their belts. It will be to give those guys some game time because this is our last preparation in different conditions compared to Australia but still match time nevertheless,” he concluded.

Thriller on Cards

Given the way, the pitches were for Australia T20I Series, it looks unlikely that the pitches would be bowling-friendly for South Africa Series. South Africa doesn’t have a long powerful batting line up but they have the players who can spring a surprise for India.

India on the other hand would want to have a dominant series. The Men in Blue have shown that they can be unbeatable when they are playing their best cricket. This series once again will depend on how the teams finish in the death overs as we have seen runs scored more than 50 in the Australian T20I Series.
