Twitter reacted happily as Rilee Rossouw, the left-handed South African batter hammered his maiden T20I hundred in the ongoing third T20I of the series between India and South Africa which is being played at the Holkar stadium in Indore on October 4, 2022.
India captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and revealed that Shreyas Iyer replaced Virat Kohli, while Umesh Yadav came in for KL Rahul. India also brought in Mohammed Siraj in place of Arshdeep Singh, as Rohit revealed that the left-arm pacer had suffered a back injury and was rested.
South Africa started off well as Quinton de Kock smashed the Indian bowlers to all parts of the small Holkar Stadium as he made 68 runs in 43 balls with 4 sixes and 6 fours to his name. On the other hand, Temba Bavuma continued his rotten form, scoring 3 runs before getting out to Umesh Yadav, caught by Rohit Sharma.
Twitter lauds Rilee Rossouw For His First T20I Century And Adds More Than 80 Runs With Quinton De Kock And Tristan Stubbs
Russouw then joined De Kock and added 89 runs in just 47 balls before the former South Africa captain was run out going for an impossible second run. He was then joined by young sensation Tristan Stubbs who showed why he was the most expensive buy in the recent SA20 auction.
Stubbs hammered 23 in 18 balls showing a wide array of shots and added 87 runs with Rossouw for the second wicket. But it was Rossouw who continued the onslaught on the Indian bowlers as they seemed to have no answer on a flat pitch and small boundaries, as the left-hander peppered the square boundaries with a regular dose of sixes and fours.
He finally registered his maiden T20I hundred off 48 balls with 8 sixes and 7 fours to his name. South Africa finished on 227/3 in 20 overs with David Miller hitting 19 runs in 5 balls.
Twitter was astonished at how Rilee Rossouw hit his century and lauded him.

Rilee Rossouw smashed 8 sixes and 7 fours to score a 48 ball century against India. South African batters smashed 16 sixes altogether to score 227 for 3 batting first. Commendable and proper modern day T20 cricket.
