South Africa tour of Zimbabwe (2025)
The much-awaited South Africa tour of Zimbabwe 2025 is scheduled to begin in June. The Proteas will be visiting their African neighbours for a two-match Test series.
It will be the first Test between the two teams since December 2017 when Zimbabwe visited South Africa for a one-off Test. The series will also be the first time in more than a decade when both the teams play a Test match in Zimbabwe. The last time South Africa visited Zimbabwe for a Test series was back in 2014.
South Africa will be starting the series as the world champions. Earlier in June, they defeated Australia in the WTC final at Lord's to clinch the title. However, the upcoming South Africa vs Zimbabwe series is not a part of the WTC cycle since the latter are not participating in the tournament.
The Proteas will be firm favourites to win the series and they will look to extend their dominating record against Zimbabwe. South Africa have never lost a Test against Zimbabwe and will be keen to maintain the unbeaten record. On the other hand, Zimbabwe will be eyeing a historic victory on their home soil.
