Wasim Jaffer, a former Indian cricketer, thinks Kuldeep Yadav’s ability to take wickets in the middle overs should be consistently utilized by Team India. With stats of 3/51 in the second ODI, the left-arm wrist spinner stunned Sri Lanka and earned player of the match honors.

Jaffer feels that Kuldeep’s three wickets were the ones that really made the visitors retreat, despite the fact that Mohammed Siraj also took three wickets. When Sri Lanka was at 102/1, Kusal Mendis, Charith Asalanka, and Dasun Shanaka were all capable of leading the team to 300 runs.

“With those three wickets, Kuldeep shattered the Sri Lankan batting line-up. You need spinners who can take wickets in the middle overs in white-ball cricket, so I hope the selectors give Kuldeep a steady stream of opportunities at least in that format.”
