On Thursday, December 8, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the complete schedule for India National Cricket Team’s upcoming home series against Sri Lanka National Cricket Team.

The Sri Lanka tour of India 2023 will consist of a six-match limited-overs series that includes three ODIs and three T20Is. The complete series will be played in January 2023 and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has decided to organize the games across six different venues.

“India’s 2022-23, the international home season will commence with a three-match T20I & three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka in January,” the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) said in an official media release.

Sri Lanka last toured India in February-March 2022 and they lost a three-match T20I series by 0-3 and a two-match Test series by 0-2.

Sri Lanka Tour Of India 2023 To Kick Off On January 3

India National Cricket Team will kick off the New Year with a white-ball series against Sri Lanka. The T20Is will be played on January 3, 5 and 7 in Mumbai, Pune and Rajkot respectively.

Meanwhile, the ODIs will be played on January 10, 12, and 15 in Guwahati Kolkata, and Trivandrum respectively.

After the Sri Lanka series, the Men In Blue will take on New Zealand National Cricket Team in a three-match ODI series and a three-match T20I series from January 18 to February 1. The matches will be played in Hyderabad, Raipur, Indore, Ranchi, Lucknow, and Ahmedabad.

Then, India will welcome Australia for the marquee Border-Gavaskar Trophy. The four Tests will be played in Nagpur, Delhi, Dharamshala, and Ahmedabad.

Meanwhile, India will conclude the home series with a three-match ODI series against Australia that will be held in Mumbai, Vizag, and Chennai on March 17, 19, and 22.
