The T20 format has been a graveyard for the bowlers usually, but certain players have stood out from the rest and have produced brilliant performances which is massive. The format requires different levels of bowling and the usual line and length bowling might not work here with the batsman waiting to pounce.

The Australian all-rounder registered his career-best figures in T20Is in the series against New Zealand at the start of this year. The left-arm spinner finished with figures of 6 for 30 in his four overs and ripped the New Zealand batting order apart.

This is the fifth-best bowling figure in T20 internationals and Agar’s spell made sure that Australia won the game by a huge margin of 64 runs in the end.

This was in 2017 when England toured India and Yuzvendra Chahal bowled a brilliant spell of bowling at Bangalore which is his home ground for the franchise RCB in IPL. Chahal managed to pick up 6 for wickets for just 25 runs in his 4 overs spell.

The mystery bowler Ajantha Mendis managed to produce an outstanding spell of bowling against Australia in 2011 in Pallekele in a tricky run chase. Mendis picked up 6 Australian wickets for just 16 runs in his four-over spell and also bowled a maiden in the spell.

The Sri Lankan spinner turned the tide towards his side’s favor and ended up winning the game for his side by 8 runs of margin. This is the third-best bowling figure in T20 internationals so far.

A year later from the famous spell against Australia, Mendis produced another breathtaking bowling spell against Zimbabwe in the T20 Worldcup 2012. Mendis figures were unbelievable reading 6 wickets for just 8 runs in his four overs and he bowled two maidens in the game as well.

Zimbabwe in the chase of 183 runs, couldn’t get going at all due to the mystery spin of Ajantha Mendis, and finally, Sri Lanka won the game by 82 runs. This is the second-best bowling figure for a bowler in T20 internationals so far.

India’s Deepak Chahar holds the record for the best bowling figures in a T20 international so far. The right-arm seamer bowled a stunning spell against Bangladesh in 2019 in Nagpur and finished with figures of 6 wickets for just 7 runs in his 3.2 overs spell.

Chahar bowled 14 dot balls in the 20 deliveries he bowled and helped India win the game by 30 runs. He has adjudged the player of the match for his overwhelming performance with the ball.
