5 Indian Batsmen With The Most Sixes In T20 Cricket. It is safe to say that the emergence of the T20 Cricket format has helped the game reach out to a large set of audience across the globe. The concept of hitting the ball right from the word-go has attracted eyeballs.

The fans love watching the ball getting hit for fours and huge sixes and the shortest format of the game has provided them just that. Perhaps, the rise of T20 cricket has even diminished the significance of Test Cricket and, to an extent, ODI Cricket.

The first T20 World Cup was organized in 2007 in South Africa and India won the inaugural title after beating Pakistan by 5 runs in the summit clash. The T20 format has come a long way, since. Today, the demand for power-hitters has grown substantially. All the teams look for the ones who have the ability to hit the balls out of the park right from the word go.

India, over the years, has produced some of the finest hitters in the game. And, on that note, here’s a look at five Indian batsmen who have hit the most sixes in T20 cricket.

His match-winning knock of 70 runs off 30 balls against Australia in the semi-final is regarded as one of the greatest knocks in the history of T20 internationals. In his T20 cricket career, Yuvraj Singh has hit 261 sixes- the fifth-most by an Indian. He played 58 T20 internationals for India and managed to score 1177 runs at an average of 28.02.

The former Indian cricketer has hit a plethora of sixes, especially in the death overs, in T20 cricket. His ability to hit sixes during the fag end of the innings is unmatchable.  He has led India in 72 T20 internationals with a win percentage of close to 60.
