It is one of the rarest achievements for a player to score a century with the bat and also pick up wickets in the same ODI game and only a few players have made it possible. It is not a surprise when a captain turns up to the centurion from his team to roll his arm over with the luck on his side.

The batsmen would have oozed with confidence already and he will be looking to take it to the next level with some good performances in the bowling department too. It can happen in vice versa too and here are 5 players with a century and a four-wicket haul in the same ODI game.

Sanath Jayasuriya was one of the most underrated all-rounders in world cricket and he is one of the few batsmen to score more than 10,000 runs and pick up 300 wickets in his ODI career.

Jayasuriya achieved a rare feat in the Tri-Series against Australia in 2002 as he scored a century and picked up four wickets in the same game. He was a player for the big matches for Sri Lanka always.

The left-hander started off brilliantly with a well-made 122 in just 105 balls in the first innings and set the platform really well for the Sri Lankan bowlers to pounce on with a total of 343. He stepped up with the ball again picking up 4 wickets for just 39 runs in the 10 over spell with a maiden and allowed Sri Lanka to win the game by 79 runs.

Gayle restricted Zimbabwe to 196 on the board as he took four wickets for just 24 runs in his 10 over spell with one maiden too. Gayle is regarded as one of the best players from the nation to have played the game.

He continued his good form with the bat scoring a brilliant 112 run knock while opening the innings and he stayed not out till the end with a strike rate of 149.33. He hit 17 fours and two sixes in the innings and he helped West Indies chase down the score easily.
