It is inevitable that the present era demands a lot of aggressive approach from the batsmen but there is still room for some orthodox players too.

The Pakistan veteran batsman Mohammad Hafeez is still playing international cricket and he is in line to be picked up for the T20 Worldcup squad. Hafeez is one of the best T20 players in the world in franchise cricket and he is very handy with the ball as well. He is used to hitting those big sixes and he can hold the middle order together.

Hafeez made his T20 international debut in 2006, and ever since that he has played 106 T20Is for Pakistan, scoring 2388 runs at an average of 27.1 and a strike rate of 120.7. The right-hander is fifth on the list of players with the most runs in Men’s T20 internationals.

The Australian limited-overs skipper Aaron Finch is one of the dashing openers in world cricket and he is excellent in the shorter formats especially. Finch is ranked number three in the ICC T20 rankings and his numbers in the format for Australia have been really good.

The right-hander has scored 2439 runs from 75 matches so far in T20 international at an average of 37.5 and a brilliant strike rate of 150.3. He has hit two centuries and 15 half-centuries in the format with the highest score of 172. He is fourth on the list of players with the most runs in Men’s T20 internationals.

Rohit Sharma has been phenomenal for India ever since he has moved up the order and his number in all formats has been amazing too in the last five years or so. Rohit has been part of the Indian T20 squad for a long time now with the 2007 T20 Worldcup being his first major appearance.

Rohit has scored 2864 runs in 103 T20 innings at an average of 32.5 and a strike rate of 139. He holds the record for the most number of T20 international centuries with four to his name already and he is expected to increase the tally in the upcoming years.

Martin Guptill is one of the best strikers of the cricket ball and he has loved playing the T20 format especially in the smaller grounds in New Zealand. The 34-year-old has been a significant part of the T20 international side for New Zealand and his number tells the story too.

The right-handed opener has scored 2939 runs in 98 innings so far at an average of 32.3 and a strike rate of 136.8. He has hit two centuries in the format alongside 17 half-centuries and he is going to play a key role for the Kiwis in the upcoming T20 Worldcup at the top of the order.

Virat Kohli leads the chart for the most number of runs in T20 internationals and the Indian skipper is the epitome of consistency in all the formats. He is one of the fewest batsmen in the world to average more than 50 in T20 internationals after playing so many games and he is among the best in the world.

Kohli is the only batsman in T20 internationals to cross the 3000 run mark and he has scored 3159 runs in T20 internationals at an average of 52.6 and a strike rate of 139. The right-hander has scored 28 half-centuries so far and he will be the player to watch out for in the T20 Worldcup.
