India had a disappointing outing in the recently concluded tour to South Africa. They won the first Test and took an early lead in the Test series. However, they couldn’t win a single match on the tour thereafter. India lost all three matches in the ODI series against the Proteas.

South African batsmen played Indian bowlers with ease. Barring Jasprit Bumrah, all the other bowlers failed to live up to the expectations. Indians spinners couldn’t make an impact in the series, enduring disappointing returns.

Kumble is the highest wicket-taker for India in ODIs. In 269 ODIs, Anil Kumble managed to pick 334 wickets at an average of 30.83. The former Indian spinner has an outstanding record against West Indies in One-Day Internationals. He played 26 ODIs against West Indies and picked 41 wickets at a stellar average of 23.73.
