Revealed: Here’s Why KL Rahul, Yuzvendra Chahal, Deepak Hooda, And Shardul Thakur Are Not Playing The 3rd ODI vs West Indies. The Indian Cricket Team has won the toss in the final ODI of the three-match series and elected to bat first, having already won the 3-match series with a 2-0 margin.

Team India won the first game of the series by 6 wickets as KL Rahul missed the first game of the series due to his sister’s wedding. KL, however, returned to the team in the 2nd ODI and also played a great knock under pressure in the middle order. Team India won the second game of the series too by a margin of 44 runs.

Revealed: Here’s Why KL Rahul, Yuzvendra Chahal, And Deepak Hooda Are Not Playing The 3rd ODI vs West Indies

As skipper Rohit Sharma walked in for the toss in the 3rd ODI of the series, the captain won the toss and elected to bat first. However, Rohit informed that there will be three changes in the Indian Playing XI going into the 3rd ODI of the series. These 3 changes came in the form of KL Rahul, Yuzvendra Chahal, and Deepak Hooda going out and Shikhar Dhawan, Shreyas Iyer, and Kuldeep Yadav coming in.

Rohit informed that KL Rahul has a niggle and thus, he will not be a part of the playing XI. As far as Deepak Hooda and Yuzvendra Chahal are concerned, both the players have been rested as a matter of experimentation and thus, Shreyas Iyer has been slotted into the first XI. India also have made another change in the final ODI and Shardul Thakur has been rested for Deepak Chahar.

Shikhar Dhawan, Shreyas Iyer, and Ruturaj Gaikwad had tested positive for COVID-19 ahead of the ODI series. While Shikhar and Shreyas recovered ahead of the 2nd ODI, Ruturaj made him available for the final ODI of the series. As far as West Indies is concerned, Kieron Pollard hasn’t been able to recover and thus, once again, Nicholas Pooran will be leading the side. They have brought in Hayden Walsh for Akeal Hosein.
