Gujarat Giants (GG) had won the toss & opted to bowl first against MI Women. MI Women skipper Harmanpreet Kaur played a scintillating knock of 65 runs in 30 balls where she struck 14 fours and decimated Gujarat Giants’ bowling lineup. MI Women posted a mammoth total of 207-5 where GG bowlers were taken to the cleaners.

Gujarat Giants (GG) had a shaky start as in the first over itself skipper Beth Mooney was retired hurt. Beth Mooney has a knack of playing long & effective innings. Harleen Deol was dismissed by Nat Sciver-Brunt where she bowled immaculate line & length. Issy Wong was bowling the 2nd over and on the 2nd ball of the over, she got the huge wicket of Ashleigh Gardner.

At the end of 2 overs, GG’s score was 4-2 and was in deep trouble. Nat Sciver-Brunt was given the 3rd over to bowl and on the 3rd ball of the over. She castled Sabbineni Meghana’s stumps by bowling an inswinging yorker. Sabbhineni Meghana scored 2 runs in 4 balls. At that time GG’s score was 5-3.

Gujarat Giants in Deep Trouble

Gujarat Giants (GG) would need a miracle to make a comeback in this match as all their star players are back in the dugout. GG batters would be aiming to get their eye in before going berserk as we witnessed how MI Women scored 130 runs in the last 10 overs where Harmanpreet Kaur was in a beast mode.

MI Women would be aiming to keep picking wickets as one partnership can change the complexion of the match.
