Bangladesh have already won the three-match ODI series against Afghanistan by a 2-0 margin. The third and final ODI is scheduled to be played on Monday at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chattogram.

Bangladesh won the last game by 88 runs and would be looking to replicate a similar performance on Monday. In this article, we take a look at the predicted playing XI of the Bangladesh Cricket Team for the third ODI

BAN vs AFG: Bangladesh’s Predicted Playing XI Against Afghanistan– Bangladesh vs Afghanistan, 3rd ODI

Openers: Tamim Iqbal and Liton Das

Liton Das played one of the best knocks of his ODI career in the last game. He scored 136 runs in just 126 balls and, thereby, helped the team reach a gigantic score of 306 runs on the board in the first innings.

It will be interesting to see if he could continue in the same vein. Skipper, Tamim Iqbal, though, is short of runs. In 2 matches, he has scores of 12 and 1. He would be looking to add some runs under his belt.

Middle-Order: Shakib Al Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim, and Yasir Ali

Shakib Ali Hasan hasn’t played any notable innings in the series so far. He has got starts but failed to convert them into big scores. The former skipper, however, bowled well in the last game, picking two wickets for 38 runs in 10 overs.

Nevertheless, he will continue to be a vital cog for the side. Newcomer, Yasir Ali too hasn’t taken the world by storm with his performances but with the team having already won the series, you expect him to be part of the playing XI. Rahim played a stellar knock in the last game and he should continue to don the gloves in the final ODI.

All-rounders: Mahmudullah, Afif Hussain and Mehidy Hasan

Mahmudullah is short of runs and this is something to worry. However, you can’t keep a player like him quiet for too long. Afif Hussain and Mehidy Hasan didn’t have to do a lot in the last match. Both are in top form and that shouldn’t keep the team in good stead.

Bowlers: Shoriful Islam, Taskin Ahmed, and Mustafizur

Taskin Ahmed bowled the most economical spell of his ODI career in the last game. He piled pressure on the opposition with a superb display of fast bowling. The Bangladesh fast bowler picked 2 wickets for 31 runs in 10 matches.

Shoriful Islam too has been bowling brilliantly in the series and it should give the team a lot of confidence. In 2 games, he has 3 wickets at 24.33. The third seamer, Mustafizur Rahman had a forgettable outing in the last game and he would be looking to exhibit an improved performance on Monday.
