Asia Cup 2022 starts in the UAE on August 27 with Afghanistan taking on Sri Lanka in the first game of the campaign. India take on Pakistan on August 28 in Dubai. Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka are placed in Group B. India and Pakistan are placed in group A along with the qualifier.

A qualifier round will take place ahead of the tournament and the winner will grab the spot in the 6th team.
