The difference between Rohit Sharma’s uninterested captaincy style and the aggressive kind of cricket Team India has played under his direction has been pointed out by Aakash Chopra.
After the World Cup last year, Sharma took over as India’s T20I captain from Virat Kohli, and he was soon followed by other formats. Since taking over as captain, the Mumbaikar has urged the Men in Blue to play an aggressive brand of cricket.
In a video posted to his YouTube account, Chopra examined the various leadership philosophies used by the Indian squad at the moment. He remarked about Rohit Sharma as follows:
“As a captain, Rohit Sharma has a very intriguing personality. The one thing about him that I enjoy is that even if he does not appear energetic when you first meet Rohit Sharma or see him on the field, the squad that plays under him attacks.”
“We have observed that they play freely, or perhaps even aggressively. The fundamental reason for that is because he inspires trust in the team by reassuring them that they have developed a philosophy and will play by it, and by reassuring them that he is rooting for them and will not allow them to lose their positions.”

Aakash Chopra also praised Sharma for his flawless game reading. He noticed:
“We all like Rohit is leadership in the team. I believe he understands the game’s pulse and learns which direction it is moving, particularly in white-ball cricket, where he excels in game management.”
Aakash Chopra went on to say that the Indian captain’s strategies and demeanour are similar to those of MS Dhoni and explained:
“Every time you watch the game with Rohit as captain, you get the impression that he is in charge. In terms of preparation and temperament, Rohit Sharma shows a few traces of MS Dhoni” Aakash Chopra Added.
Sharma has had a lot of success with Team India. He has a perfect winning record in the two Test matches he has led, and he has also managed to win more than 80% of the ODI and T20I games he has supervised.
