Asia Cup 2022: Umer Rashid Joins Pakistan Team As Assistant To Fast Bowling Coach

Umer Rashid was appointed as the assistant to the fast bowling coach of the Pakistan men’s cricket team for the upcoming Asia Cup tournament.

Rashid is a highly-rated bowling coach at the National High-Performance Centre and he will team up with the national team ahead of the 6-nation tournament.

Rashid recently helped Mohammad Hasnain rejig his bowling action after he was suspended from bowling by the ICC. He will now be working with fast bowling coach, Shaun Tait, in the UAE.

The Men in Green’s head coach Saqlain Mushtaq was the one who recommended Rashid’s name for the tournament. It begins on August 27 while Pakistan will play their first game against India on 28.
