Former Pakistan National Cricket Team skipper Inzamam-ul-Haq has said that the star batter Virat Kohli returning to form is a great sign for the India National Cricket Team.
Kohli, who last scored a century in 2019, scored 35 runs off 34 balls in the high-voltage Asia Cup 2022 match against arch-rivals Pakistan National Cricket Team, where the Men In Blue won by 5 wickets.

In India’s 40-run win over Hong Kong National Cricket Team on Wednesday at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Kohli scored 59 runs off 44 balls and he also had a glorious 98* runs partnership with Suryakumar Yadav. Also, India’s wins against Pakistan and Hong Kong helped them qualify for the Super 4 stage of the Asia Cup.
Speaking in a video shared on his YouTube channel, Inzamam said that he liked Kohli’s knocks against Pakistan and Hong Kong. He asserted:
“I like the manner in which he scored 34 against Pakistan and a half-century against Hong Kong. He was sure to make a comeback. He is slowly recovering from a tough phase which is a great sign for India. Cricket fans worldwide want to see him score and continue his form.”

Former Pakistan National Cricket Team captain further said it’s surprising to see a great player like Kohli take a long time to get back to scoring ways in international cricket. He said:
“It looks like he is coming back to form. All players go through a lean patch but [they] return to their best in a month or two or maybe a series or two. It’s the first instance that such a great player took a long time and was unable to score a century in over 1000 days.”
