Suryakumar Yadav is the toast of the ongoing Asia Cup 2022 tournament, especially after his amazing innings against Hong Kong and now has spoken about his game ahead of India’s Super 4s match against Pakistan on September 4, 2022, which will be played in Dubai.

Suryakumar, who had made 18 runs against Pakistan in India’s opening match of the tournament, also in Dubai, came back strongly as he slammed 68* in 26 balls with 6 fours and 6 sixes to his name. He had hit 4 sixes in the 20th over and was also named the Player of the Match after India won the match by 40 runs.

He got unanimous praise for his knock against Hong Kong which came at the strike rate of 261.53. Even Virat Kohli, who was his batting partner during that knock, said that he was blown away by the way Suryakumar started hitting boundaries from the first ball onwards.

There Have Been Lots Of Talks Regarding The India-Pakistan Rivalry- Suryakumar Yadav

Suryakumar stressed that when he or anyone from team India steps on the ground, it feels like “just another game”.

“Obviously, when I was growing up, there have been lots of talks regarding the India-Pakistan game and people say it’s the greatest rivalry, but when I or anyone go on the ground, it’s like we are playing just another game.

When we enter the field, all our preparations, all our routines, what we have been doing for any other game, it just reflects on the ground. So, when I go on the ground, it’s all the same.

“I don’t think what rivalry has been happening and what the expectations from outside etc. are. So, I just try to stay in my zone and play the game,” Suryakumar said while speaking on Star Sports show ‘Follow the Blues’ ahead of the highly anticipated India vs Pakistan match.

India will also play Afghanistan and Sri Lanka in the Super 4s on Sept 6 and 8 respectively.
