IND vs PAK: If Pakistan Want To Grow In T20Is, They Need To Find An All-rounder Like Hardik Pandya, Opines Aaqib Javed

Former Pakistan National Cricket Team speedster Aaqib Javed has opined that the Men In Green will have to find a supremely talented all-rounder like India National Cricket Team all-rounder Hardik Pandya to grow in the T20Is.

The 28-year-old Pandya, if fully fit, is undoubtedly the MVP of the Indian T20I setup. He is skilful enough to play as a pure batter in the team and as a bowler, he has been tremendously good in recent times. Ever since returning to international cricket after taking a break following the T20 World Cup 2021, the all-rounder has been in imperious form.

Meanwhile, Javed said that having an all-rounder like Pandya is a massive advantage for Team India that Team Pakistan lack.

“The biggest advantage that India has is Hardik Pandya. Pakistan doesn’t have an all-rounder like that, he is as effective as Abdul Razzaq was for us,” Aaqib Javed said on Geo TV.

“So, if Pakistan want to grow in T20Is, they need to find an all-rounder like him very soon. Because in T20Is, it’s all about how many all-rounders you have — like India has Jadeja and Pandya. That’s an advantage for India and that’s the big missing link for Pakistan,” former Pakistan pacer added.

I feel our biggest problem is our batting lineup: Aaqib Javed

Javed further said that the biggest problem of the Pakistan National Cricket Team is their batting lineup. He added that the addition of Shoaib Malik and Shan Masood can solve Pakistan’s batting woes.

“Fast bowling is a natural talent. You need height and I think the Punjab belt has some very natural talent in fast bowling. I feel our biggest problem is our batting lineup. If you keep Shoaib Malik and Shan Masood in this team, you will have five batters who can take on the Indian team,” Aaqib said.

The Round 2 of the Asia Cup 2022 battle between Rohit Sharma-led India National Cricket Team and Babar Azam-led Pakistan National Cricket Team will commence on Sunday, September 4, at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
