Former Indian wicketkeeper Saba Karim had no complaints about the manner star batsman Virat Kohli addressed his batting against Hong Kong on Wednesday at the Asia Cup 2022.
Many people questioned Kohli’s use of 44 deliveries to score his unbroken 59 runs. However, Karim believes that someone of Kohli’s magnitude is required in the top order to offer much-needed consistency to the innings.

In the current edition of the Asia Cup, Kohli, who found his form again there, became the first player to reach a half-century.

Following up on his 35 off 34 balls against a tough Pakistani bowling lineup, Kohli played the anchor in the second game and scored his half-century. He and Suryakumar Yadav combined for 98 runs, which helped India score 192 runs overall in the Asia Cup.
Virat Kohli should continue with this approach: Saba Karim
Saba Karim outlined why Kohli should stick with this approach and not worry too much about being overly aggressive in an interview with India News Sports on Friday. He stated:
“In T20 matches, Virat Kohli has consistently been a batsman who accelerates remarkably effectively after facing 15-20 balls. His batting displayed the critical mental focus that was required. So I am confident that he will improve as he plays more. You need a hitter who gives the team security in the top three, and Kohli is doing just that.”

Despite taking a month and a half off, Kohli returned to the Indian team in top shape and has not shown any signs of letting off on the field of play. Given the current trend of top order failures India has demonstrated, Kohli will be essential for India when they play their rematch against Pakistan on Sunday.
