IND vs SL: Gautam Gambhir Wants This Player To Replace Yuzvendra Chahal For Match Against Sri Lanka

Indian Cricket Team was outplayed by the Mighty Men in Green on Sunday (04th September). The Men in Blue were astonished as they weren’t quite ready for a powerful comeback. Pakistan Cricket Team almost got into the shell in the last over and they would be wary of such a last-minute wobble. Asia Cup 2022 has shown that there are no easy matches as the World Cricket has witnessed some exciting contests amongst all the teams.

Rohit Sharma, the skipper would be worried as his star leg spinner was taken to the cleaners. Chahal would know that he needs to pull up his socks as the management won’t think twice before dropping him as Ravichandran Ashwin is waiting in the dugout. We all know leg spinners are often targeted as they are somewhat easy to clear the fence. The decision of management would be interesting to see as Ashwin has been warming the benches for quite some time now.

Gautam Gambhir was quite vocal regarding some changes against the Sri Lanka match at Star Sports. “Avesh (Khan) for (Yuzvendra) Chahal. Definitely continue with Ravi Bishnoi, he has done everything in this game. Chahal hasn’t bowled that well in this competition so probably it is time to give Bishnoi a longer run,” said Gambhir on Star Sports after the match against Pakistan on Sunday.

Senior Bowlers got Hammered

The Management & Rohit Sharma would be bothered as the likes of Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Yuzvendra Chahal & Hardik Pandya conceded 40+ runs in their quota of 4 overs. In a high-voltage match, the senior bowlers should take responsibility for tightening the screws rather than getting smashed all around the park. Chahal is getting targeted but it looks unlikely that he would be left out as the management of the Indian Cricket Team won’t leave out a foxy spinner.

Head Coach Rahul Dravid would be aware of their next encounter which is against Sri Lanka. It’s a must-win match for the Men in Blue where India can’t afford any slip-ups. India’s match is once again at Dubai International Stadium where the team would be mentally prepared for all the challenges against Sri Lanka. Given Sri Lanka’s resurgence, it won’t be easy to defeat them as they have got 8 batters present in their lineup.
