Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has released a video of Shaheen Afridi interacting with former Indian captain, Virat Kohli ahead of Sunday’s Asia Cup 2022 tie between India and Pakistan.
The entire Cricket Fraternity is awaiting India vs Pakistan Match on Sunday (28th August). Both teams can be seen doing some intense practice sessions. India and Pakistan both know the importance of a high voltage clash and no one would be ready to throw the towel down.
India though would be wary of Pakistan’s unpredictable nature which is dangerous as they can spring a surprise from any position.
Pakistan on the other hand is dealt with a lot of blows as Shaheen Afridi is out of the tournament and now Mohammad Wasim is doubtful for the mega event.
In all this chaos, the bowling department looks fragile now as Indian batters would be ready to pounce on it. Pakistan would be hoping that their bowlers don’t concede 170-190 runs if they are bowling first as chasing 9 runs per over won’t be easy given the Indian Cricket Team’s resurgence.
Shaheen Afridi met Virat Kohli
Shaheen Afridi the injured pacer had a brief meeting with Virat Kohli at the training ground. The left arm pacer shook hands with Virat Kohli and explained the nature of his injury. Shaheen was pretty confident that he would be ready for the marquee event ICC T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia.
At the end of the conversation, Shaheen surprised everyone. Aapke liye Duaen kar rahe hai ki waapis form mAayeaaye (We are praying that you get your form back)”.

Kohli had a broad smile on his face and said “Thank you”. Kohli would be wondering if the arch-rivals are too concerned about his poor form. At the same time, Pakistani fans would be hoping that Virat won’t revive himself on Sunday (28th August) else there would be carnage at the Dubai International Stadium.
India vs Pakistan in Dubai
The last time these two teams had a one-sided affair was at the Dubai International Stadium. The Men in Green had buried the Men in Blue by winning the match by a whooping 10 wickets. Shaheen Afridi was the wrecker in chief where he got rid of Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul and Virat Kohli. Virat in that match scored a half-century and had taken the team out of a deep muddle.
In that match, the Men in Green wanted to make a statement that they are not just here to lose. Shaheen had set the tone with the ball in hand and then Babar & Rizwan wrapped up the match. In that match; the likes of Shami, Bhuveneshwar and Bumrah were all taken to the cleaners by the openers. Pakistan knows that the pace attack of India is almost the same which will give them an edge and confidence that they still can win the match.
